At Barrisol Welch we take Health & Safety very seriously and so do Barrisol with the manufacture of the Barrisol materials. Barrisol sheets conform 100% with CE legislation’s, are produced without Phthalate and are guaranteed to not have Mercury, Cadmium or Arsenic present. The sheets are all fire rated following the European and International norms (BS1-D0, BS2-D0) please see our fire safety page for more details on this. The tests completed by French, English and American laboratories confirm that Barrisol products do not present any risk to health during installation or to the final customer. Barrisol stretched ceilings are also class A+ for indoor air quality.
When it comes to the installation of Barrisol, Barrisol Welch complete site surveys before install to not only measure the ceilings but to also check the quality of the site. In these site surveys we check/run through the site PPE required, site rules, high level access in place or required, any obstructions and the cleanliness of the install area so the material doesn’t get damaged or dirty. Before the 1st fix and 2nd fix installs take place we always produce site specific risk assessments and method statements which we send over to the main contractor or client. Once these are confirmed as satisfactory we make sure all of the engineers have a copy of them to take to site. All of our engineers hold valid CSCS cards and have the relevant training needed to be on sites. They also have PASMA certificates to confirm they are able to erect/disassemble scaffold towers and IPAF certificates to confirm they are able to control powered access such as scissor lifts/cherry pickers. Barrisol Welch/Welch Services Group also have a number of certifications such as CHAS, NSI and NICEIC. All of the above certificates/documentation can be provided to any main contractor or company when we complete the sub contractor questionnaires.
